These activities resulted in the formation of Drive The Big 5, which focuses on all the land based activities of the patent company, Dive The Big 5.
Since Dive The Big 5’s inception in 1996, we have built up a fleet of vehicles consisting mainly of 13 seater Toyota Quantum’s, and 7 seater Hyundai H1’s. All top of the range, current models, and all fully air-conditioned. All vehicles conform to the road transportation act governing fare-paying passengers in that they each have a COF’s (Certificate of Fitness) and all our driver/guides are in possession of a valid PDP (Public Drivers Permit). For all cross-border tours and transfers we have the required “Cross Border Permits”.
As members of SATSA (Membership # 696), Dive The Big 5/Drive The Big 5 conforms to SATSA’s code of conduct, and all our vehicles are insured so that your clients are covered by a R20 million passenger liability insurance in the unlikely event of an accident.
We currently handle all Londolozi, Sabi Sabi’s, MalaMalas’s and Rhino Post & Plains Camps, Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport (KMIA) – lodge transfers exclusively. We are also one of the preferred transfer companies to Notten’s Bush Camp – so we come well recommended. We have transferred the likes of Gary Player, The Rupert Family, Jack Nicklaus, F W de Klerk, Prof. Chris Nokes, the King and Queen of Nepal, and many other high profile celebs.
